When my daughter was young, she dressed Goth to Barbie & everything in between. She was enjoying her childhood. I never put my focus on those things, I put it on her talents, achievements, huge heart, and goals.Today, she is an educated woman, married with 3 children. She is stunning on her worst day & is an amazing mother who is loving, disciplined, supportive, and her children's biggest advocate. The truth here is that as long as her parents allow her to feel loved, supported, & focus their attention on her strengths, talents, and her future, then this child won't grow up focusing on the latest trendy look as much as growing up discovering who & what she will become. Remember this, kids have a habit of believing adults; if we tell them they are loosers or worse, they will live up to that. Instead, let's remind our kids, EVERYDAY, how proud we are of them, how beautiful their smile is, how kind, how smart, & funny they are. They may actually live up to THOSE traits!

Whoever this kid's mom is is an idiot letting them shave her face. I had a hormone imbalance and would grow hairs on my chin. My mom told me to shave it and I did. Single worst piece of parenting advice I ever got from either parent. I had to shave twice a day or there would be stubble. I was 16!
