Not everybody in a wheelchair is unable to walk, some people’s body’s js can’t handle walking all the time so they need a wheelchair

This young man purchased it used, for his grandmother but had no way to transport it. After replacing the batteries drove it to surprise her. This really is a heartfelt story

I have osteonecrosis. My bones bend, fracture and break. Simple as that. I look fine, except a mild limp. The reality is i woke up when I was 32 with a shattered neck. No accident. Nothing thst would cause it. A freak diagnosis. The doctors were in disbelief. Even my friends and family questioned me. Things are not always what they appear

Don’t be so judgmental. You don’t know what the person in the chair is going through. Some people use chairs because they are low energy and low stamina. They are not fully crippled. I might judge the people with the trash cans is it’s not trash day you should keep your cans is a way that doesn’t require people to move it if the pass by. What if it was a completely disabled person?

Obviously a shit ton of people have no idea what neuropathy is. lol. I can walk into a grocery store and walk around for 5 minutes before I'm in agony. Don't judge people. Karma is a bitch.

I have ME/Chronic Fatigue. This would be me. I look fine, but can’t do anything due to limited energy. Just getting up to move the cans looks easy for me, But the toll of that simple movement… can cause me to not be able to do anything later that day, or even for a few days. I wish people didn’t judge our invisible illnesses, as we are hard enough on ourselves. 😞

that may be a med pack on his side. you can't judge anyone's disability by standing or minimal motion. Fall risk, heart condition, even certain medications require assisted mobility.

see this all the time, just look at the monster pick up trucks and super cars at the market in the handicap spaces using grandma plack car. I often say make me a meter maid for just one day I'd make the city a bundle,

Why does it matter. We bought a scooter for elderly and me and my son drive it around all the time. The block the zoo. Wherever we wanna take it. Why does it just have to be for a handicapped person?? It DoESNT!!

Don't judge to quickly. I can walk regularly, but not very far or stand for long. My back can only handle the weight of my upper body for a few minutes.

He could have a heart condition that prevents him from walking too far and needs the wheelchair so he doesn't have a heart attack or rapid heartbeat. Not everyone that is disabled has a visible disability. There are so many things he could have. PEOPLE need more compassion and empathy and not just assume they are faking it.

Don't judge. You don't know the back story. It could be that they are making sure that their relative has easy access to the side walks, which you should not block for disabled people. In some places, it is even against the law to block sidewalks and can get you a hefty fine! Know your regional laws regarding disabled accessibility. Be kind.

I myself could use a motorized wheel chair There are times when my sciatic nerve just takes over and I lose control of my left hip .and the struggle is not a comfortable situation it comes and goes without warning. and at time i lose mobility so i can see or understand that if you have the ability to prevent a situation that could cause you pain why not take advantage of it.

This really makes me angry. I’m almost eighty, and occasionally I have to use a wheelchair. I would give just about anything to NEVER need a wheelchair again, and not to be handicapped in any way. To trivialize the use of a wheelchair or anything else that might be needed by a disabled person is not the best idea. Shame on him/her.

I do wellness visits across my entire state. Probably 5 years ago I was doing a visit with a guy in a power wheelchair. At one point he needed to grab something in another room. He not only hopped out of the power wheelchair, but he came running back into the room and hopped over the back of the wheelchair seat, landing in the seat as if nothing happened.

That type of scooter chair 🛵 cost about $18,000 and mostly Medicaid pays for them or an health insurance company, so if you can walk please don't order that type stuff, because taxpayers are paying those bills. 😟🫩 However, a few people can purchase them themselves.

Some people aren't 100% handicap and need support, individuals can stand and work for 4-8 hours some people have to stand and operate 12-15 hours for decades and end up partially disabled needing help; this video shows what she could stand and move an empty bin before having to rest. Pain is often silent.

You know what people are so judgmental just because she can get up and move a garbage can doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a disability. All disabilities are not seen.

Could very well possibly be... that he FOUND this chair, (along with a lot of OTHER useful things) and just uses it to get around, because... why not, right? 🤷🏻‍♀️ And... NOT because he's actually disabled. There's ZERO law, on ANY book, that says you have to PROVE to a bunch of random internet weirdos (or anyone else), that you're disabled. Looks are deceiving. Don't judge everyone by their outer wrapper! 👌🏼

This person is actually a public employee. It's his job to insure all obstacles are cleared from the sidewalks so a person - who may NOT be able to get out of their chair - is able to pass unimpeded. How's THAT for thinking out of the box? 🤔

that could be a person, moving a wheelchair for the needed. do you realize how heavy a electric wheel chair is to push ? it does not make that person using common sense to move a trash can, that someone left blocking... if they used the wheel chair to push it out the way, you still would have a complaint....

People are weird. You can’t see all disabilities. I’m not disabled. I’m young with young children. I recently had a stress induced heart attack that put me in moderate-severe heart failure. At the beginning, I was so short of breath and had no endurance, which made walking, cooking, shopping, laundry—all ADL’s—extremely difficult. Most people couldn’t SEE it, but going to the cardiologist appointments, even though I am young and look fit, I was probably struggling as much or more than the other patients to get in to the building. Or maybe this person is just transporting the chair a couple blocks for a loved one. Who cares??
