I worked on an offshore oil platform in Alaska for 12 years…I was the first woman to work offshore in Alaska back in the 70s and 80s, but we never had waves like this. This is mind blowing!!!… we sure had a lot of whales in the inlet. 😲
Won't ever catch me on one of them....
I wonder how many women work out there. They're equal aren't they. No, they're nothing close to equal.
I would much rather be on my ship, than that chuck of steel
What a scary place to work in!
Do they do 😲 shift changes by helicopter? 🚁
They better be paying me $1,000 an hour. 😲 I've been in the North Sea in a winter storm ONCE. US Navy ship.
This looks very dangerous for the men who maintain this oil rig. Hope they are paid for the courage they show daily to maintain this rig. God bless you all.
I thought there where anchored to the sea bed
My father walked to the north sea and the bearing Straits… he saved a lot of people on a research vessel. They called them every year at the same time… He was an amazing man. He never drew attention to himself. .. I miss him every day! Thank you, God you gave me a great daddy.
There's nothing that anyone can build out there that can withstand nature, nothing! The ones who work on those are brave and probably have some pretty good insurance coverage! 😆
Just looking at that fills me with terror. That’s water miles deep, cold, wild and the ginormous creatures who would tear you up and make you dinner. But don’t worry about them. The water will probably drown you first. 😳😬🚢🛳️🌊🌊🌊🌊🦑🦑🦈🦈☠️☠️
Don’t underestimate the North Atlantic. It actually can get worse than this. I was out there on a Navy vessel with a flat bottom. Real character builder. GO NAVY!
I don't care how much the job pays. HELL NO. 😳
power to all men and women who work in those conditions my hat is off to all!
my nickname is land loving flat lander.
The beach current, waves, undertow can be fierce. I Almost drowned and a man close to me did. Never went back in the ocean again. The people who work out there on these vessels in these conditions Deserve to be very well paid.
I’ve seen the word “Unalive” a few times lately and thought it was a joke! WTH! Is it not “cool” to say dead anymore???
That's why they get the big bucks. I knew a man who welded on the big oil rigs in the Gulf Coast. He did not want to talk about welding deep under water wearing scuba gear. It sounds very stressful.
I'm seasick just watching this 🤢
Oh my…I am petrified of water… no money could make me even stand on the platform 😆
I don’t know how much money those guys make for working out there, but I don’t think any amount of money would make me go
Been there done that for many years, just like riding a wild horse just gotta hold on
Nope, nope and NOPE!
How do they even BUILD these things???
This doesn't look real to me!!!😲
Not just no, but Hell no. I'm getting sea sick just watching it.
there is a story after Katrina storm hit they lost 1 of the oil rigs in the gulf , it broke loose they found it some few hundred miles away floating adrift, no 1 on board , they took everyone off before the storm off
I wanted to be a commercial diver, but I started smoking pot now pot is legal. This is bullshit and now I’m too old marijuana sucks.
Anyone know about this? Any explanation as to why it’s there? What it does? How it can withstand the constant waves and current? Anyone ??
How do you pump oil when the oil rig is rattling like that? And, where do stored oil when it is pumped from the seabed?
Do people stay out there on those? The whole thing looks like it could go over! 😲
Wonder if any scammers are on that. They all say they work on oil rigs.😆
that's very terrifying to me.
There’s not enough money on God’s green Earth for me to work on one of those. Nope, nope, nope, no way. ❤️💜💚
Isn’t this AI? I mean these deep sea oil rigs are connected to the sea bed are they not? Ffs they have to drill into the ground lmao. They are doing this while moving about
you got to wonder..what's the pay like to do that bouncing around in the water...😁
I sleep so well on a boat, but I’m not sure how well I would sleep on that platform
The North sea is the most dangerous sea in the world.
That doesn't look normal the storms are getting so much stronger. 😲😲😲
I wouldn't want to be anywhere near the ocean in a storm.
definitely a serious addrellan rush job 👍 probably pays really well
🤔is there any overtime or a slight bonus working on that 🤑
that is crazy
awh nope
whooaaa a very dangerous job
looks like a fun job
how tf ut stay up
Some things are not meant to be on the ocean. Getting sea sickness watching this.
North Sea?🙏😲🙏
Can you imagine trying to sleep while that is happening?
I can't believe it's still there. The force of the ocean?
👀😳😮
I thought these oil rigs were stationary with all those legs posted down deep in the sand. This looks like a floating rig unless it's come loose from the bottom. If that's the case, that thing is prolly at the bottom of the ocean by now. I'd work on one but I don't think I would after surviving that.
😲😲
THAT would be an absolute NO.
why would a woman want to have a job like that better yet why would a man🥺 it looks to me like it's the energies that be and that oil rig is not welcomed there
Is there an increase in physical, emotional or mental issues from living in that environment? Not trying to knock it but just wondered if they ever get used to it. Are there certain people they would not because it could trigger them into unacceptable behavior?
Scary!
You would have to give me about 80 bucks an hour to work there and then I will only work six months.
I bet that was nice
I never seen but idiots on here you all love the antichrist
