I worked in a prepared foods dept we had over deep fries steam cookers grill made pizza sanwhiches and baked lobsters and shrimp...But I would cook anything people brought me if they came with the receipt...Then anything in the store that was about to expire in a day I would cook and give away..I once made a jambalaya with Johnsonville itallian sauges one armed lobsters on their way out that nobody would by fresh shrimp and clams that where at their sell by date..I would grab beat up potatoes onions and tomatoes that where going into the trash..that jambalaya was so good you could smell it in the parking lot,even store workers where coming to get some.eventually I started selling it with an arbitrary skew 7.99 a pint or something and it becanevacregular menus item still is to this day only at that particular store.
You can't bring outside food into a restaurant to be prepared.

In MD, Its against the law to bring outside food into a commercial kitchen?!? We couldn't even heat up a jar of baby food for a mother's request. Its a huge liability to the restaurant.
