Why would anyone not want others to have medical coverage? And they get no federal assistance that’s just a political bold face lie!
There are free clinics in some places. Rural WV has clinics that charge according to income for those without insurance. Some cities have mobile clinics that do the same. I worked as a Medicaid/Food Stamp worker for 3 years and everyone had to have a Social Security number. Period.

Right.There is a law that everyone gets emergency care if they show up in a ED.So if for example an undocumented person shows up in ER.They’ve been shot.The ER is required to treat them.By the time you find out they have been discharged.Your hospital is out around 1000.00 at least.Then the residual is 5000.00.The hospital is out 6000.That is why that money goes to the fund because hospitals don’t have any fund to reassure it. Is a loophole. Have worked as an EMT and I know how essential the Emergency Department is but these Friday and Saturday fights stabbings shootings they pull down their earnings.

Hospitals do not turn away patients like they used to. Hospitals have to treat you no matter your insurance status or immigration status. That is how they get free healthcare.
