Gene Wilder may have stayed married to her,but to say he stood by her side is incorrect. this idea of caring for her was a phone call every few days from Europe while he was busy shooting movies. zi used to idolize this man until I did teo things...I read his autobiography, and hers. Broke my heart because he, himself, let the world know how unbelievably selfish he was.
