Your child needs therapy and a mental health check-up, and perhaps a police visit to make her understand the seriousness of her actions. Destroying someone’s vehicle is a felony, especially over something as trivial as her phone being taken away. That speaks volumes about the underlying issues she needs to address.
This kid is dangerous and needs to be removed from the home. I hope this was reported to law enforcement so her parents can get help with her. No one should sleep with this kid in the house.

It would be a really long time before she own ed a phone in my house or any door on their room. Any computer for enjoyment and I’d be looking at another school. Plus she would have no privileges. She’d wish I used one of those things on her. I pick her up and drop her off every day at school. If she cut school, I would go to class with her and sit in class with her. Obviously, this girl was way far gone before the phone incident. Most kids wouldn’t think of doing that.
What do 13yr Olds think they NEED a phone for? My daughter at 11 almost 12 wouldn't even "THINK" about doing this or I would call the police in a hurry and she would be in jail for criminal damaging!! Parents learn to do better!!

I am 66 yo and I am here to tell everyone here that doesn't believe in setting limits with a good old fashioned leather belt that there were not the problem children that we see today, when I was young. It took me ONE...yes ONE, round at the receiving end of a thick leather belt to readjust my belief in who I thought was in charge (me) in the house. Found out REAL quick it was very much NOT ME. Trust me that wahatever you did to get that hard learned lesson that used that belt, if you had an ounce of brains in your head, you never did it again. My dad also finishe with the following statement... " Young lady, I will not hesitate to use this as often as it is needed if you do not change your attitude and behavior. When I set the rules and set limits, they will be followed or this will happen again and again until you learn that your mother and I are in charge here.

I would've woken up in the next century if I pulled a stunt like that. I'm Gen X, I got the belt and switch when I grew up. I thank my parents for teaching me how to be a good person.
1st off, NEVER another phone til she's out of my house. 2nd, her allowance has just been returned 4 damages. 3rd, belt or switch. 4th, anger management 4 her of the umpteenth degree. 5th, no driver's license til school graduation.
She would’ve found a job & IDC if it was shoveling dog 💩 for the entire neighborhood making $1.00 a scoop till that damage was paid off & IDGAF if it took so long as to her getting married & bearing children that’s how strict I am with my children…she’d have her children at her feet asking why she’s been scooping crap most of their lives…I never let them get away with NOTHING….too many parents wanna be their kids best friend!
I’d make her pay the deductible for the damages …and take her phone, and TV. She gets to do homework and volunteer for the needy. I would thoroughly stick to it until the entire amount is fully paid. She may get 10 licks from the switch of the tree I made her get. I’m so angry that she would try me….
That becomes the minimally cared for child... by law... mattress on the floor, 2 blankets and 1 pillow, 2 outfits for school... in bed immediately after required dinner with no sugar, and a ride in that truck to church 3 times a week. Try that for 3 weeks and see if you have a better, more respectful child. Repeat if necessary
