he woke up alert af that is NOT drugs but just simple lack of sleep. all of you saying "drugs" clearly dont know sh*t about most drugs. if he was slumped from fetty or dope (heroin), then his response time would be horrible, and he would have this UNSHAKABLE exhausted look like he is not fully awake. That man needs a bed and a couple hours of uninterrupted sleep.
I fell asleep in my car at lunch framing house. woke up 2hrs later. asked why didn't anyone wake me up. they answered "figured you needed it."
instead of firing him and waking him up the way he did he should've checked on the man and figured out what's wrong or if he getting overworked. I'm a supervisor for the D.O.T in NC and I've had several of my guys get like this after working long hours I just send them home to get some much needed rest

I was a roofer at the time and had been up working an 11 hour day. I stayed upwith my gf (who was pregnant at the time) all night and I fell asleep eating a sandwich in the truck around lunchtime. Boss woke me up 3 hours later asking me if I had a good nap. Told me I wasn't getting paid for em but kept me in my job. Later that night she had a miscarriage. No drugs involved. Why does everyone just jump to drugs? Some people literally have total system failures for pushing themselves to the absolute limit.

I've never had drugs or drink, but one day I got stopped a few cars back at a RR crossing, it was a looong train. When I woke up there were cars driving around me. No one honked. I was so embarrassed.

Not sure what happened here, but sometimes when you're pulling 6 12's or 7 10's, a nap can turn into something more. A good crew will cover for the burnt out guy, but he'll be expected to pull his weight when he recovers.
I bet he was just catching some z's probably working a lot of overtime or staying up late but this is not drugs whatsoever. if he could wake up that quick and be alert and turn off the truck no reason to fire this guy you need to give him another chance have a talk with him and wondered what's going on it's not drugs to make this man lose his job. maybe just like everybody says lack of sleep

Does anybody think that this man's boss already knows the guy is over worked by his own admission.. Some guys have child support, hospital bills or a significant other, that wants wants wants.. No matter how exhausted they are, they still want all the hrs they can force their bodies to endure.. I don't believe this guy is on drugs.. He has to fast of reaction time.. ✌️
