there was an " expert" that lived with the Grizzlies or brown bear in Alaska. he made a documentary..he was never attacked one day...until they found him dead ...mauled to death by the very bears that were used to him...sorry I can't recall his name now

You know, you can read or watch videos about people who meet their “final affliction” by apex predators. A common one is about bear attacks. You’d be surprised how many guides are eaten too! There’s enough evidence that I would only use bear spray to put it in the air and make it unpleasant for her to follow me. I wouldn’t use it if she were to continue to approach or get aggressive…that’s what a firearm is for!

I would feel SO much better being 250 feet away. You never know when she might snap and charge that group. She's BIG too and could do some serious damage to a person in which case she would probably be destroyed for being an aggressive bear. The cubs would never make it on their own 👍

Momma with cubs?? I am from Alaska. As they were coming closer, the people should have retreated. Guides get killed too. This is foolish to anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors, a few friends said. 2 are 20+ year guides.

Wow! This is way closer than I would want to be. I was hunting with my uncle, cousin and it was archery season. A Bear came into the area where we were hunting, and the cub runs down the fallen log, right to me, and wanted to play?! I was TERRIFIED, but keeping still and as calm as possible. Mama bear stands on her hind legs and looks right at me and mock charges me. I shit and pissed myself at the same time. My uncle has his sidearm ready and shoots it in the air, the baby tears up a tree and the mom isn’t leaving! We did EVERYTHING we could to get her to just go, but she wasn’t having it. 45 LONG minutes of mock charges and cat and mouse’n us around dead snags and trees. She finally got the cub to come down and they left, I have never been so damn nervous of being killed in all my years of hunting.

That’s was funny how the little one made himself/ herself bigger to try and scare the funny looking human creature. Then it realized it wasn’t working and mom wasn’t caring. Those cubs are adorable.
