Every time someone uses a word that express hatred in the workplace, should be fired. And that includes police officers and security offers. racism needs to be stumped out from our daily lives, especially among our own races. Everybody needs to stop it.

McDonald's employee told my husband at the counter that they didn't serve ppl like him , this was bcuz he was proudly wearing his Veteran cap and they didn't serve them . reported to the manager who brushed it off , so corporate was called . the girl and the manager both list there jobs within 24 hours . my husband is a white veteran, this girl and her manager were both black ,as is all the employees there are . we have not been back to McDonald's which at the time was literally only one place to eat the other was subway, now we also have bumpers & jacks . our little town is growing at last .

Black people get upset about the N word. We use that word im everyday life. You cant go anywhere among blacks and not hear that word. We use that word more that any other race. If we cant respect ourselves, who else will. We have to learn to be proud people. You cannot hurt or kill people because of a word. I am wondering what did she do to him for him to call her that word. You are hearing one side of the story but not the whole story. Lets love and protect our race in other ways besides getting upset and stupid over a word.

my son works in a medical lab. there was a 22-year-old Hispanic kid working there that was so racist that he just got fired. there's no excuse. I was told when I was very young that you can think whatever you want you just can't say it.

I am not racist, the only problem I have is keeping up with what they like to be called, so I usually say sir. or madame.

So the men in her life went up there to possibly get assault charges. This doesn't make sense to me. I could understand if they were going to hold him until the police came after he physically assaulted her, but over a word? Not my son.

Ok so Rappers etc have made the use of the N word a common usage...i.e. N.....a . Now in this the usage is not suppose to mean the same as n .....r....However I knew that the use of the word would trigger the type of comments that I see here. In the movie with Denzel Washington playing a cop named Alonzo Harris...Ethan Hawke is a rookie riding along with him. During the ride dialogue Denzel says to Ethan Hawke.." My N.....a" which in Alonzo's world is a compliment..this is an example of what it means in the culture...Not saying I totally agree but this is just an example for those that question how and why (some) BF use the word.

That N word's been used so "loosely" lately that it's sometimes hard to determine who it's referred to - I've heard and seen some caucasian kids call EACH OTHER the N word. I will agree that black and brown people are notorious for using this word towards one another, and the phrase that lingers from a famous rap artist, " it's okay when THEY DO IT," ...but it's clearly a PROBLEM WHEN SOMEONE ELSE DOES.* I think we can DO BETTER as a country by NOT taking everything so seriously.* Thanks for sharing this article anyway.👍😏✌️

What needs to be done? This is specifically for Black Americans. We have tried to compromise, invited others to our events, and excelled in academics, but it feels like we are getting nowhere. We need to stop making excuses for others and looking the other way. Clearly, racism isn't going away. It's time to support one another; otherwise, we risk being lost in the noise. Eventually, others may grow tired of us and unite against us without us realizing what happened. This stems from disengaging with our own community. The Trump administration is empowering those who disrespect us and talk down to us as if we are nothing, even though this land was stolen from us. God's people are scattered across the world, and while white people may identify as Gentiles, Black Americans are the chosen people of God. The 400 years of oppression have come to an end. There is too much truth to ignore. It's time to wake up, people! We need to protect our lives and look out for one another.

this narrative has to stop. NO, I don't say it. NO, people don't call me that. NO, I don't answer to it. so you don't get comfortable with it around me. i guess you are what you respond to, but don't FAFO CAUSE NOT ALL BLACK FOLK FEEL THAT WAY. YOU HEAR IT SO MUCH BECAUSE THATS WHAT YOU ARE LISTENING TO. 🤔

I see this a lot amongst our youth these days. They say it joke about it and a lot of kids don’t let that word defy them. don’t give that word so much power. This is a different day and age and we need to unify and not let these racist remarks affect us like they do. That’s what the government wants all of us to be against each other. I Love all of my brothers and sisters of all colors. Our skin tone is not different than being a male or a female. Just a difference in all humans. There is no 2 perfect people that are 100% alike. We are all unique in 1 way or another. That was Gods plan. To embrace the differences of each other as humans and learn from each other. We all humans at the end of the day.
