He has hitch pulled to tight so he needs to back up 1 inch to release pressure and then the key will slide right out.
Typical Gen Z can't figure out anything mechanical probably doesn't even know how to change a flat tire. Just back up until the pressure is off the hitch and remove the receiver pin pull forward reinstall and go on your way.

to fix , back up an inch to take pressure off hitch and take the pin out. You wont get it out that easy with the ball pressed up against rail
