When I was little i we didn’t have black dolls made for African Americans. Until mothers started complaining then the toy companies started making m be lack dolls. I didn’t buy my girls white dolls with curly hair until the Cabbage Patch kids came out

I was SOOO disappointed with the company when I found out about that!! I used to really support most doll lines but I just can't get behind that one anymore after that. At least Barbie made the extra effort to be more diverse since the late 50s. I had one of the dolls!! Even the expanded line now has been really impressive, they've included cultures from ALL about the world!! As a woman who comes from a multicultural background, that's important not just for me but for my kids and my grandkids!!🥰
