This was the terrifying moment a Boeing 737's wing broke mid-air during a Delta flight. The plane landed safely in Texas and no one was injured, but the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident. #news #avia...

Well, I’m 69 and I’m not gonna stop flying. I have many of places to go before I’m out of here and hearing about these planes is not gonna stop me. Have you been driving around out there lately? See all the people on the road that don’t know how to drive talking on their phones, drinking and smoking, and fighting when they’re driving down the road, I think you’re safer in an airplane.

machines are designed to eventually fail, hopefully an actual wing doesn't fall off during flight. This was a flap failure (a brake pad and rudder effectively) so, the reverse thrust of the engines will compensate for this minute loss of aeronautical control and nobody will be fish food today. Thanks to all the amazing pilots and aircraft maintenance professionals for circumventing and preventing so many air disasters. I don't know of any industry out there with more transparency than the airline industry. please don't complain when it cost 10k dollars for a coach seat flight to your next MAGA event with some inherently nefarious agenda being incorporated in the further destruction and self imposed isolation from the allied Nations by our once great nation under God taken hostage by an outspoken, self-serving megalomaniac drama queen.

no vibration there is there on that v wing the first time I was on a 737 I couldn't believe how much the wings were moving because of them they have a very strange Wing shape more like a fighter than an airliner to keep the drag down and save fuel that's why they suck

okay I'm not a pilot I'm not even an aircraft mechanic but that's not a wing that's part of the wing I think it's called the flaps I'm sure it made the plane fly different but it's not going to crash

The fake headline makes people think an entire wing fell off. In reality a flap came partially off. Huge difference

This more propaganda fact is this is a trim tab much much much less critical then the main wing.

been self debating this year about this, even more so since China's contract buying a bunch of boeing planes. but I think really, its time to dump that Boeing stock, before major catastrophic damages occur. the issues may be from poor design, questionable assembly, or even maintenance mechanics being lazy & incompetent. but yeah im getting that timebomb out of my portfolio Monday.

It used to be a true statement that planes were safer than driving. But lately in recent months/years planes are having more crashes then ever before. I think because mechanics are not maintaining the planes as needed, and because of high cost factors for parts because Corporate owners are cutting down on expenses! And the partly because of poor workmanship. Many workers don’t want to do anymore than they have to , because they feel they should get higher pay. But it’s the unsuspecting passenger that pays for it with his life! It’s a vicious cycle!

I have been on a compromised airplane and it was frightening. We were flying from Alaska to Texas. We landed in Portland and they canceled the flight plans for everyone on that plane. We made it but I have never felt comfortable on any flight since then. We had to fly back to Alaska because my husband was stationed there.
