I hope Max is okay but you can see SOMETHING is wrong and your voice suggests you know it, too. Please take MAX to the vet STAT. I pray Max is not suffering the same as my beloved dog who became very still and quiet three weeks ago. My adult daughter noticed and I finally believed her when he showed no emotion at all. God bless, him. It wasn’t a rapid decision on my part because his quiet didn’t seem painful but his “mood” was too off. Then we saw he wasn’t moving at all and he cried when my daughter tried to help him up. 8 hours later I agreed to euthanize him. He’s been by my side as my very best friend, protector, generous comforter, loyal, kind, unselfish love through countless tours of Hell over the last 14 years. Turned out he was bleeding out internally. I’ll spare you the rest. But when they go quiet and don’t wag, lick, happy pant, smile—their person knows something is really wrong even if, like me, I was totally blind-sided. Please, to the vet. God bless.
