who was in charge of her. cuz thats neglect and can be charged abuse. this is why you don't neglect your elders. if your responsible for your parents and you let them die. you can go to jail. i took care of my mother. i bathe her changed her feed her. until i couldn't. and im a man. so it doesn't matter if your a man and have to see your parents naked you do what it take to take care of them. and what happened to this lady is horrible. you can't watch them then put them in a place where people can. i did thus for my mother. they bathe her feed her. and change her. and i visit her everyday.
wiki provided a very quick answer. lacey was autistic, she started to suffer from a cognitive health decline and became home bound. her parents whom she lived with left her sitting on the couch to suffer, failing to get her medical care. they found evidence of her trying to get up but her legs had atrophied and malnourishment kept her in that slot eventually fuseing her to the leather couch. she even tried to eat the leather in hunger, sitting in her excrement, as mice ate at her extremities, bugs and maggots ate away at her body. because her parents didn't sign up to be caregivers. when she died..they left her there and went on vacation b4 calling the police when they returned.
if I'm not mistaken if this is the same case she lived with her parents as she was disabled

I have an autistic son who is in an adult foster home and gets great care. I took care of him until age 12, then I couldn't keep control of him running out in front of a vehicle🤔, because he was so strong. I visit him at his house about once a month. 🙏 I thank his caregivers for their service 🌸

Kelly Jennings covered this case on her podcast called “Unspeakable: A true crime podcast”. It’s a well put together show if you are interested in true crime. The parents were sentenced to 20 years in prison with a consecutive 20 year suspended sentence. Sad stuff that girl went through.

If I remember correctly, she lived with her parents. She had some disabilities so they left her on the sofa and never moved her. That meant she did her bathroom business right there. She was never touched. I could be wrong on this, however, I do recall when it was in the news.
