I personally think it's utterly stupid just for the bustier! you can probably buy one . the cutting of the wedding dress which costs plenty and you could have sold the whole dress!!!
She just needs to take it to a professional seamstress and finish off the bottom and seal it off with a seam/edge so it doesn’t fall apart. I think it’s a gr8 idea 💡. Think about it!! You wear your wedding dress ONE TIME but now she gets to wear half of it for as long as she can fit into it and it’s a beautiful 😍 corset. She can put a blazer over top of it and it will look amazing or wear it solo in the evening. Genius!! The downside, sad part of this decision is…..she can’t 🚫 pass it down to her daughter or daughter-in-law but…..she can pass down the lower 1/2….the material to have it made into something for her daughters wedding. Like a purse 👛, shawl, gloves 🧤, bible cover, ring 💍 pillow, a table accessory of some sort for the bridal table, favors for the bridges maids, little pouches for the birdseed to throw, etc….. The possibilities are endless!! 🤷♀️ IYKYK!!
why spend all that money on a wedding dress if you were just going to cut the top off? you could have sold it or passed it on if you had a daughter.

I made my wedding dress in high school. It cost me less than $15. for the fabric. My last yr, I was a jr the first full semester and a sr the 2nd half. I was 17. A week after graduatuon I got married to man almost 5 yrs my sr. I was 14 when we met. Many yrs later my 15 old daughter and her best friend wanted to be sexy nurses for Halloween. So I cut my dress up and made them both a nurses dress that barely cover their backsides. They had a great time and ppl loved their dresses. If I had to do over, I would do it again. We are still married yet today. This June will be 49 yrs. I think every woman should do something different with their wedding dress. like this young lady did. If you want to stick with tradition and save it for your daughter, most would rather have their own.
