at a red light you should leave 10 to 13 ft at least one car length between you and the car in front of you in case you get rear-ended you don't hit the car in front of you but that's what it says in the book🤔😆

I do it for the same reason and if a dumb heifer comes up to my car knocks on it demands that I move up she may find herself the victim of road rage. for me it's a safety precaution
Here's the thing, lights are also timed for certain traffic patterns, rush hour, late night also. This is why sometimes very late or early in the morning some lights simply flash yellow, meaning to turn at any direction at an intersection just to proceed with caution since there is legit no one on the road. During rush hour or days with heavy traffic the sensors are pointless because the lights are set to a timer which predicts traffic no matter what. Essentially the light won't really skip you, aside from that in this video there was someone in front who already would have alerted the sensor. If you're that concerned use your horn, that's what they are for, approaching someone's window as a civilian is not wise, particularly in the current environment.

The majority of streets in cities for about the last 20 years don't have the lines under the asphalt or concrete to notify the traffic lights of cars waiting in intersections any more. I've only seen the ones that are on timers and not on how busy the traffic is loading up on the stop lights or whatever.

I agree. Some drivers are so unconscious. That can prevent drivers further behind him from getting into a turn lane and possibly causing a tie up. It also causes unnecessary delay for others who just may (imagine this) want the opportunity to make a turn when the light turns green. Huh? 🤪

I agree totally especially when you’re trying to make a left. Turn on a busy highway and the cars have two car lengths between them and you can’t get in the turning lane so now you’re in the middle of the highway waiting to get rear ended
