This kind of happened to me in Vegas. I was in a club and waiting for a bartender to get a drink. A song came on and I was like "I LOVE THIS SONG!" to the guy next to me. He said "Thanks! I sang it." It was the singer from Better Than Ezra. I was floored! He bought me that drink since I wasn't chatting him up because he was famous, just because I was being nice. 😃
I went to an autograph signing at tower records in Las Vegas in 2006 for Static X and when I got to Wayne I handed them my Gameboy SP and as they signed it Wayne said ,"Hell yeah Nick gonna dig that!"as each band member looked at it smiled and lifted it to show Nick as they signed it and passed it down to him and when it got to Nick (Drummer) he said,"Right on I have one I play all the time on the bus.. memory of my lifetime and I still have the picture of the band and I on my Facebook,R.I.P. Wayne Static;you F'n Rocked!

You'd be surprised the number of bands that are cool like that. Lived in Vegas so saw a lot of them face to face. It's a great thing to show you appreciate your fans like they did.

I met the drummer from Slayer before ( Dave Lombardo) and he was really cool to me but he was being a dick to some other guy that was acting overly excited to see him. It was in Hollywood back in the late 80s. I was a teenager back then and I felt like I met a metal God at the time.
So great to see these guys being so appreciative of their fans.
