These idiots have no idea how fighting a fire is done. Once a building is engulfed it is more about stopping it from spreading to surrounding structures. In structures of this age there is no telling what was used on the floors over the decades. These structures can go up in minutes. Just because you only see the flames at the back porch doesn’t mean the fire isn’t in the walls and ceiling spaces.
how much could they gotten there? try being a firefighter for a week!
Firefighters like police suck, not. bad enough the place is burning these dude make sure everything that isn't burnt is also destroyed,open a window sure with this here ax,open the door sure with this here sledgehammer.

you know what if people would do what they need on their own in case of an emergency I have a swimming pool with 13,000 gallons of water I also have a pump that if needed and the surrounding area was on fire in my house was at risk I can pump water out of that swimming pool with the same volume and pressure as a firetruck I have also cleared vegetation from a good size perimeter I love trees but my area about 3 miles up the street had an out of control fire about 12 years ago not everybody has the luxury of a swimming pool but certainly you can clear a good size perimeter and you could actually install a metal roof over top of your asphalt there's a lot of those fires get started when the fire takes over and starts creating its own wind and throws it as hot ashes and sometimes it's not ashes it's like whole branches and logs on your asphalt roof
