My dad taught all 4 if my nieces and nephews with a regular kids potty. They all got a gold star on a piece of paper that was over the potty in a week to take home to their parents. The boys did get to shoot the cheerios. He did a great job with cheering them on! I would stop by on my lunch break on each potty week so they could show me their stars. it was so cute!

Dad, buy a potty chair and start it out easy. One by one. Let each one sit first. Once they can do that, Dad, take them to the commode and let each one see you do it. Be patient. They are sometimes afraid of the commode. When they do the thing right, make a big deal out of it, telling them "what a great job!! Yay!! This water hose thing is so confusing! Steady and reassurance wins every time! They will learn!! Good luck! 👍🤔

Is that supposed to be a urinal? Who has a urinal in their home??? Start with an all in one potty chair! They won’t see or be tall enough to use a public urinal for years!

The first thing they’ll learn from this demonstration is to pick it up and dump it out.

my m9m potty trained my brother in 24 hrs. The evening before she had it Dad pee in the big toliet every couple minutes. they said he used an empty squirrel bottle to simulate a stream. next day, all day, outside, with no pants on my brother my mom had him drink then pee in the baby potty that looked like an adult toliet. It worked.

It's modeling that works that and at that age most boys start off setting on the toilet. The kids toilet is great to encourage modeling or allow them to sit on it at comfortable times such as looking at a book, a tablet, or sing songs. Read books and watch videos to encourage them & show the concept. Using the toilet seat insert is great too. Before you know it they'll be standing to pee it's a process.

Not being a male, I have absolutely no concept of how “this” is taught. I admire this male who is providing the needed instruction. Giving verbal and non verbal instructions. My only question: do these young boys get a chance to practice this?? Just curious, but it something I don’t have to observe. Just curious. I Creative practical. Effective. EXCELLENT. A tough job well done. 😉
