that's still it's way too thick. if it was made out of cast iron it wouldn't have been a problem it would have shattered. I used to operate a shredder that made that thing look like a child's toy. it had 10 260 lb hammers hanging off of five four inch thick rods that went through it was either five or six wheels that sat mounted on a 12 in thick center rod. it all spun at 650 rpms. and when you shut it down it took 45 minutes for it to stop spinning. and I would never have thrown a piece of steel that thick inside that thing. some things you just don't shred 🫤
