I’ve been married to my husband for nearly 40 years. The biggest complaint I have about him is his seeming inability to show real emotion. The only time I’ve ever seen that man cry is when his mom died. Not his grandparents, not his father, not any of our furry children who have passed. Only his mother. He’s never talked to anyone about his reactions to his father and grandparents passing, and I think he should.
