Michael was the one and only ππΌ Iβm a 70 yr old white woman and my kids crack up when one of his songs start causing Iβm singing along every word. Very few will ever have that kind of talent!ππΌππΌ
Mikey had to practice. The guy from 1943 is all rhythm and heart. Now we know where mj got his ideas. Thereβs always someone who came first
It came naturally to Michael. He was a born entertainer and excelled past all expectations. We'll never have another anywhere close to his talent.
That was not Bill Robinson in b/w picture. Someone half his age, real Bill...
Michael never kept it a secret. He always credited those who came before him. Sammy Davis Jr., Cab Callaway, Fred Astaire, James Brown. As a child he studied their showmanship then blended it with his own unique skills and abilities. All the greats looked to those who came before them, passing down the tradition of art and dance to the next generation. There are many young talented ppl currently taking dance to the next level, using Micheal as their inspiration.
Michael Jackson created the moonwalk ain't nobody else recreated it it's an original artifact π€£π€£π€£π€£
πOld moves makes New moves SMOOTH!! hey!! hey!!!ππ
MJ was a triple threat and no one will ever come close to his talent!!!!
If some one coild find this from 1943, could some one please find Flip Wilson with his Geraldine!??!! I used to love watching on the variety shows in the 1950s. Ed Sulllivan, Perry Como, Milton Burl. I don't think he was on Arthur Godfrey or Lawrence Welk But I really really can't remember what I saw him on the most. But it seemed like he made the circut. Another possibility might be Diana Shore or Dean Martin. I have never seen any one imitate him or seen any reruns of him. He may have been controversial for his time. But I always thought he was a great comedian.
Stop, get help. you don't know if he ever saw this guy dance. I love how some people always try to downplay everything that African Americans accomplish!
STILL THA β¬οΈβ¬οΈβ¬οΈ π―
Watch bob fosse as the snake in little prince
True Rhythm!!π΅
Not necessarily that he got those moves from the 1940s. the Bible says there is nothing new under the sun. People, time, trends, styles, repeat themselves over time. And I believe that he was fascinated with children because he never got to be a kid. I believe that it had more to do with extortion than molestation. Whatever the case. His life was a sad example of what living life to please man instead of God can lead to..SMH
π
It doesn't matter where he got the moves or if they were his ..no one did it better than Michael Jackson. he was entertainment body ,mind and soul. No one will ever touch this man. Beautiful inside and out
Dancing is ancestoral, there's nothing new under the sun! Whatever you do someone's done it before.
β I met a man β Bojanglesββ, remember the song? He was real!
And this proves my point that although Michael Jackson was a fabulous performer, there have been thousands of performers that can and have done what he did!!!
love him and miss you muchπ₯°π₯°
I just learned something new today, because of this post π«, I always thought Michael Jackson, made up his own dance moves, do anyone, know the name of the other guy.
Michael Jackson's father was brilliant. I am sure that is how Michael learned about those moves. The Black entertainers/dancers in the 40s were amazing to watch, and somehow Michael's dad "cloned" them into Michael's dance routine.
Im a old movie buff, watch them all the time on TCM, point being I always said MJ copied 90% of his dance routines from these guys but NO ONE believed me. THANKS FOR THE PROOF
MJ SAID HE STUDIED OLD DANCERS π
Mr. Bill Bojangles taught the child actress Shirley Temple how to dance.ππ½ππ½π₯°π₯°π₯°
Cab Calloway at the Cotton Club. Is that Mr. Bo Jangles?
Smooooooooooth
Who is older dancer?
He took the art and mastered it,talented and unmatched
Blacks entertainers has been doing that for years way back ππΎππΎππΎππΎππΎ
Nothing is new under the sun.π
guess we have to decide who did it best?????
MJ was a student of dance and performance and he became the ultimate master of presentation and putting on the show. there will never be another
Does anyone remember Elvis Presley, who became famous, imitating black performers? then labeled the king
there will be no other Michelle Jackson he was one of a kind may he rest in peace πποΈ
no matter who he is, he can't touch Michael Jackson's dancing abilities, no body can
Dat Damn Dirty Diana!!!
100% π― πΈπππππΈππ
Definitely not the same dance
He mastered the art.
Yes and Fred Astaire was always his role model. MJ was excellent
Michael always said he watched dancers of all races and eras
wow...slip...sliding away!π
So, there really is nothing NEW under the sun!
Michael never made it a secret of whose talent he has watched and studied. NEVER β
MJ was the best in his craft..
Ever seen those videos of a youthful dude moon walking in shopping malls and stores? Is no one criticizing him for stealing the moon walker moves? πππ π
π. Just another example is any random post causing controversial arguments about nothing. π€¨ Itβs all for the sake of the argument. In other words, Who cares if MJ copied his moves from this 1940βs dancer? Does anyone really care? Or yβall just wanting to argue about trivial crap? Was it copyrighted? π€·π» Both dancers did it well. If you like it, just enjoy it. If not, just move on. βπ»ππ€
Now look you tell me that blacks arenβt the ones that has been hated on because oh having so much talent, bodies can move with music and to any beats, and on tune. It would have been called all kind of names knowing that for decades that was one of the main things that certain ones with no rhythm at all wanted to mock . Absolutely amazing art to see this thank you whoever pisted it ππΌ
suit he wearing looks clean. better fit than what they wearing today!!!
Of course. And he isn't the only contemporary who is mimicking the steps of the late greats.
Ok everyone knows where he got a lot of his dance moves ! Heβs not the only one who have stolen other people ideals ! Stealing been happening for centuries still goes on today!
Michael was tired...rest well my friend. We miss you. But we shall not fret, for you are hole again with JesusππΈ
What people don't understand is the difference in that 5 decades. The man before MJ was forced to perform as a character as a show to appease "certain people". Who supposedly deemed their worth?Based on their performance. yes, MJ had similar struggles. However, it was a totally different time. He pushed through that. And it allowed. For the greatness, we all know today to shine through π―
You must be blind there is no comparison to MJ!!! You need new eyes
life repeats it's self. you think you came up with a song you better do your research because when you were in your mom stomach as a baby you felt the vibration of the song that was playing or listening to music someone talking believe me ππ€ππ
Iβm sure a lot had to do with what Joe taught them and he (n the choreographer)had to get them moves from somewhere
π₯°π₯°π₯°
Two great black men but yup looks about right
βNo idea is original, thereβs nothing new under the sun, itβs never what you do but how itβs done, what you base your happiness from material women and large paper that means your inferior not majorβ. ~NAS~ππΌ
πππ
Now you see where Mike ,got his move's from ,back in day ,way before ,his first sibling ,was born.π
Michael studied Fred Astair for his moves, not this guy, but thanks for the comparisons.
The bottom-line is he got them and used them in a mighty way, ooooooweeeeeπππππππππππππππ₯°π₯°π₯°π₯°π₯°π₯°
That's right.
Ingenious to use the old dancing
