They didn’t stop his fall. You can see his head bounce off the ground. They may have slowed him down. That’s the only thing that saved him.

I am glad that he wasn't hurt, but come on guys. you know how lil ass is bad ASF if he ended up on the outside of the slide. who knew what he was doing. when that ass figured out he didn't have his Spidey web slinger, that's when his "bad as kid" sensors went off. he knew at that moment, that lil ass was not going to sling off that sliding board.
