Not good since a person using a walker needs to use it to get up, walk to the sink etc, with it turned that way they could fall when getting up, turning around and pulling it back out, and they will be walking backward pulling it away from the toilet, and then they will have to turn it around so they are " in" the walker aka the proper way to walk while using a walker. No way you'd do that with someone with dementia since they are already confused and that way of putting it over the toilet like that will make it more confusing, plus they often can be unsteady on their feet.
Ever notice how ya find out all these handy dandy tricks after you no longer need them!? 😂

I definitely did this for my mama on her toilet last year so that she could easily sit down and get up from using the toilet. she love the idea I did for her.
I am also having knee replacement soon, and i'm gonna need all the help I can get. I have a small bathroom it's going to be tricky to maneuver
Forgot to put your pants down first
they have 5 inch riser toilet seats that can be used also. helps with getting up from the toilet. some people don't have the walls to put up bars to help them get up from the toilet seat so the riser comes in very handy.

as a home care for her physical therapist I always taught this unless the individual had limited shoulder ROM, was too short w/structural spinal kyphosis, or was too wide to sit between the bars . of course hip and knee replacement surgical restrictions also may have been a limitation . otherwise, 👍.
My son just put grab bars on the toilet easy and cheap

That would be wonderful if I had any room for a walker to actually go there. I might be able to fit it in on the sink side, but I’ll never get it to fit in the tub side. Heck, I can barely operate my bidet for lack of space.
