So grateful that God is teaching me this. There’s a phrase one of my sisters-in-Christ has taught me that is so encouraging. When I start to whine or worry out of fear or perceived need, then get down on myself for “going there,” I remember that “quick down, quick up” is evidence of His being at work in my life, transforming me into the image of Christ. It’s true, I may lose my joy or peace momentarily (quick down); however, I’m soon reminded of God’s track record of faithfulness and say “thank you” (quick up). The enemy wants me to stay down, wallowing in my lapse, focused on myself, but then I sense the Spirit saying (in effect): “OK, now what? You can stay there, OR remember WHOSE you are.” 😥🤭🥰
