I don't know how people live in Norway and all of the other countries around there. How can they handle the cold? I. live in Arizona USA and we're the hottest state in America. Last year we broke records in high temperatures. We had 3 full months of temperatures over 110 degrees and the 30 days over 115 degrees.
Can you imagine this type of weather in the United States ? specifically lake Superior in Michigan. A LAKE ! In 1975 no less. Solemn remembrance to the 29 man crew of the Edmund Fitzgerald.
Pffssshhhh... I've done that several times! In a canoe! With one oar, uphill in the SNOW! Nah, not really
In the Navy we referred to this as an oh shit! Moment!
respect to all sailors around the world.🫡
The ocean is so majestic and SO deadly
Nothing happend??? Just a ship doing what ships are supposed to do … plow thru a storm in the ocean/sea.
Oh hell no! I’m getting sea sick watching these waves. Hope no one got banged up.
You would NEVER find me on any boat !!Terrified of deep water.
This ship should be quartering into the swell at about 30 degrees. By doing so, the stress would be reduced amid ship by nearly 50%. Many other factors involved, but that's the end skinny.
Ship doing pretty good from my view, But it is a dangerous ride with those waves hitting like that. Hope the storm stops or the ship gets to its destination soon. I would be a nervous wreck!!😂🤣😂🤣
These ships are built for this. Three things though 1: If the ship is in good shape 2: If those hatches are locked down tight and the seals are good 3: The captain knows how to maneuver in this weather.
Brave men and women aboard
Looks like it's doing okay, under the circumstances.
When I was in the Navy, we hit a rogue wave. It was only about a 30-40 footer, but what a rush coming down on the other side.
whose is driving
Great Captain, going head onto the waves, if he doesn't he would have sunk it.
ships that traverse the Great Lakes have much different mechanical structures, than ocean going vessels. The need to build the Great Lakes ferring ships differently, is due to the Wave structure of the lakes. The waves are much closer together causing tremendous more stress on the design.
If you live where it’s hot you get used to it. I worked at a glass factory making medical bottles it got up to 128 degrees in there after about two weeks we didn’t pay the heat any attention. That goes for people who live in cold regions you get used to the cold. You know how to dress and how to make the best of where you live. That ship made it if the Viking people could cross the rough seas in their ships modern ships can make it 🤔these captains are a stuff bunch.
ships fare best when they steer strait into the oncoming waves.
I hope that you have your Dramamine and your sea legs, otherwise it’s going to be a rough time of it until the storm passes.😲💕
This is why I’m risk adverse and will not go on a cruise (besides too many people falling overboard these days).
SOOOOOO!!!!!???? WTF happened??? NOTHING!! The title & the camera said it all! If something was gonna happened, why would just the-camera just survive!!!???
It’s empty.
I just wonder how much the ship is flexing as the end of the ship is just floating in air until it crashes into the wave! 🇺🇸😎🚀
Who took this film?
Edmond Fitzgerald all over again?
Amazing but scary! My paternal grandparents came to America from Norway...They both passes so another woman raised my grand father & his sister Hans & Hannah Bangs. They ended up in Grand Forks, ND. I've never been to Norway.
I swam in the Gulf, the pacific and the Atlantic . The Atlantic Ocean was only one I could not see my feet looking down into water. Pollution or nature of different bodies of water?🤔
The Tennessee River can become pretty wicked in a storm. Lightning hitting the water. When you’re in a ski boat! The rain beating against the windshield and you can barely see. The river isn’t very wide. The waves are white capping and throwing you around. The goal is to get off the water ASAP but that’s a battle.
Been in the North Sea in January and February not really much fun
OMG I almost got seasick watching this !!!! Was that 2 men standing in the front? I couldn't tell.
Obviously OK because the film exist!!!!
Most dangerous job in the world more than cops firefighters etc is tuna fishing
I was a helmsman , Navy we hit swells like this , at least 40 ft , I was only 18 definitely a adventure
I'm getting sea sick , just watching this.
I don’t know if I’m sick or not, but I guess writing this storm out in a ship, would be the detailing point!! Lol although I know she sickness is not pleasant and it isn’t funny. Just saying!
My $16 phone case as it comes from China
Frightening 😲
You couldn't pay me enough to go on a sea voyage.
Amazing... just glad I'M not there!!😲
There's no way I could be on a ship 🚢, especially one that's going through this crap.!!.
and did you imagine Noah's ark went through that 😳
WOW Wow Wow!!!!!!!!!!! That is so very very crazy!!!!!!
Not shipping greenies, no water coming over bow. Ship will be fine.!
courageous capability!!!
I got sick watching it
They don't pay enough money
That would be so scary! I would be so sea sick!
Sure it will they don’t sink stooge
Awesome video.
man over board.
I definitely would have a heart attack if I were on that ship. Those waves are enormous. No thank you!
😳😮
