My son started hanging with a kid, bad influence. He did a couple of things, got in trouble. I got called to school one day, took him home and said "that's it mister, life as you've known it just ceased to exist." I made him get all his radical baggy clothes with chains etc, and we burned them. From that point forward I was all over him 24/7. Not all in a bad way, I just made sure he did his schoolwork, he went where I did, we did everything together, backpacked, archery, shooting guns, you name it. 20 years later, he is my best best friend. I couldn't be more proud of him as a man, a human being, a son. We still spend all our time together. It's the ONE THING in life I've done right and the one thing, maybe the ONLY thing I'll leave behind, leaving the world a better place than I found it. It seems like work in the moment.. all that time and attention. But so quickly it becomes not work, but a true joy. And the rewards last beyond a lifetime.

Dad is teaching her that if she wants to embarrass the family then he can do the same thing. He is showing her that what is good for the goose is good for the gander. What she does in her life affect affects the whole family. She represents herself and her family and he expects her to behave better just like she expects him to behave better. -lesson learned!

I know it looks like a good punishment, but you people need to realize you do not know what the video was nor the type of day that girl faces at school. That girl could have had a horrible harassing day and her one safe haven should be home, but instead she comes home not only to dad but it being filmed. And we don't know how long she lived there. This could be her first year at that school. People need to stop assuming when watching and realize it was parents attempting to teach her a lesson, but her day just may have backfired on them.

oh wow I didn't catch this at first, but you can vaguely hear the song on his phone that's playing, which I believe is him playing the video that she posted. Looks as though he was, before setting it his phone down, watching her dance moves as to imitate them. The combination of her seeing him wearing the same/similar outfit she wore + dancing the same dance moves + hearing the same song she danced to in her video, will hopefully get his point across to her, and more strongly get through to her enough for her to stop posting those kind of videos!
Yeah. Humiliating your child in front of her friends and the other kids riding on that bus is real cool. NOT!!! All that saw this will be laughing and making fun of her tomorrow, word will spread around at school and then even more people will be laughing and making fun of her too. Yes, she needed to be punished in some way for posting inappropriate videos, but there are better ways to go about it. Children’s psyches are easily damaged at this age and they’re trying to figure out their place in the world and who they are as a person. They’re going to flub up from time to time, just as we all do. She is a little girl, social media is a thing and I’m sure her friends do videos and post them on their social media accounts. Maybe a chat with her about what is inappropriate, the dangers of SM and just the internet in general. Forewarned is for armed. JS
