Sad, these Zebra look beyond depressed in that cement cell! They need far more room, grass to graze, a better stimulation for their mental health [i.e. toys], and sharing an environment with other similar grazers such as wilderbeast, gazelle, eland, impala, and perhaps even elephant, rhinoceros, hippopotamus and maybe even baboons. With a bit of imagination and better zoologists, zoos could offer better to the animals they "say" they care for, instead of denying these creatures the most basic abilities to have a more natural looking, open environment with other animals that they are use to be being around. This is nearly as bad as the 1800-1900 cement box with bars. These animals deserve to be treated better or be left alone where they come from.
