I think it is a good idea. How ever if the passenger compartment lands on the ground at a very steep angle . the passengers are in for a terrible and violent ride to more than likely their demise. firction dose cook them the impact of that aluminum tube for riding in will not stay in shape at impact with rock

it will cut into the profit margin and drive up costs by billions. they would rather settle with victim families for mere hundreds of millions.
I don't think it would be to out of budget to have a couple para handy for the pilots

It's about time that they thought about passengers and how to safely get them to the ground. If fighter pilots can eject from their planes then passengers should be in an electable fuselage. Plus if they can parachute tanks, humbles, and armaments to the ground, which weigh in some cases more than the fuselage portion of a plane, which they've been able to do for multiple decades, this is a very old technological concept that should have come to civilian aviation a long time ago.

Very good idea but it's way over due this should of been thought of years ago. But aye it's here now so great job I could only imagine being in the air and for some mechanical failure or whatever the case may be to know your plane is barreling down to earth knowing your gonna die. It must be a scary, horrifying feeling .
