moon. Thank you for resurrecting a long ago day disparity question that I had as a child about the origins of tracking linear time. The story that the nuns told was that the use of the Julian calendar led to a 13 day disparity between the calendar and solar events or something like that. The institution of the Gregorian calendar was supposed to rectify that disparity. Am I correct?
