It didn't say he hadn't been home in 5 years. It said he hadn't been home for Christmas in 5 years. Before my husband retired he left FL to go on business trips to Germany. He'd be gone from 1 to 5 weeks at a time. He missed our anniversary twice and my birthday 3 times because he was away. He'd B s home a few weeks then he'd travel again. He was always home for Christmas and Easter.
