I grew up with a high-functioning autistic boy who was streamlined into mainstream schooling who would worry the horns off a Billy goat but you know what else he could do? He spoke English, Spanish, and ASL..he got his driver's license and first job when he was 17 and he graduated as a member of the honors society. He was kind and generous but irritating to some when he was overstimulated or stressed. I also have a couple of cousins with Down syndrome, and they are smart, loving, pure, and devious jokers but can do everything anyone else can do but it may take just a bit longer. I know this was a skit but people like that woman should spend time around special needs individuals and realize that all "normal" people should strive to be more like the special ones. Glass houses and stones... glass houses and stones
