one difference; and I'm speaking from personal experience as a twice married father of 6. ... When that school calls, don't "make it look good," because firstly your child as a right to assert themselves. But more importantly, said child needs to physically witness you fighting that battle for them, where they can't, because they stood on the principals you have installed in them. It's the gift to them that keeps coming back to you because they will never ever be afraid to tell you anything

but I'm gonna tell the teacher that's our rule. anyone puts hands on you . knock them in the dirt. that's exactly what I told them . also my ass better be in the office before my child. that's our rules.
