Amen brother, you are right. That's how I raised my boys too, the word of God is powerful. Stay safe.
As I raised my son, I repeatedly told him that God gave him to me to raise and my only job was to provide him with a home, clothes (don’t have to buy brand name stuff), food and to raise him to be a productive member of society. I do sort of feel for him though because he was raised by two Marine. He turned out fine. The young people today are too bubble wrapped imo.
I believe we come into this world to complete our own futures. Sometimes our original homes are less than desired sometimes they are stellar to a fault. At some point it’s up to us what to do with our lives. Parents pass. Then who can we blame? Looking in the mirror is the only option.
