Corporate trying to cover their asses
so if a vehicle gets vandalized, you blame the driver?
so they can fire a truck driver and get insurance money. so fucking sad
Everyone in these comments acting like Amazon’s doing something wrong clearly isn’t thinking it through. If you're a delivery driver sharing a truck with multiple others, wouldn't you want a system that protects you from being blamed for damage you didn't cause? And if you owned the trucks, wouldn't you want to know exactly who’s responsible when something goes wrong? This isn’t some shady tactic — it’s basic accountability. The only people upset by this are those who don’t like being held responsible or just have a knee-jerk anti-corporation mindset.

I work on Amazon vehicles, and there are some really bad drivers in them.
I would not do that there's probably a lot of radiation coming out of that beam of light. they should have whoever maintains the fleet do that job not the delivery guy or woman
so they care more about their vehicles and who may have been responsible, than the customer getting their packages, I think the x-ray idea is better, minus the radiation it takes to use an x-ray, but I'm sure they could have come up with some kind of scanner that does that.
I had an AMAZON TRUCK HIT MY WALL IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE. HE DAMAGED THE WALL BUT RAN. FORTUNATELY FOR ME, MY NEIGHBOR HAS A RING CAMERA AND GOT EVERYTHING ON VIDEO. AMAZON WERE PRICKS ABOUT IT.
I got a simple solution make box trucks for commercial use need a CDL stop letting all these morons run around in a massive truck.

Why not just tired better drivers And once you can trust to tell the truth, I’m not judging, I’m just saying I’ve seen some really bad Amazon drivers, like the one that was drunk driving on the sidewalk the one that hit two buildings in a matter of minutes
So in a matter of months from now, all these poor driver's nuts are going to start falling off....

That’s not completely true. And it doesn’t happen everywhere. I deliver for Amazon and we don’t have this. This is in places that are using the electric vehicles and in big cities
i hope it's a training device to teach them to quit parking in fucking traffic.

except the rented van they damage on a constant
