this is the issue with liberals getting involved into law enforcement trying to soften law enforcement. this officer could have been shot 10 times over. once he gave the order to put the gun down and the person followed him that guy should have been room temperature
the guy got the draw on him and he probably felt he didn't have time to draw his weapon before he got shot so he went to pleading with the deranged suspect when he should have had his pistol already drawn and ready to fire when he approached.

As someone who wants to be an officer, his first thought wasn’t to shoot the guy just because he had a gun, it was to help the man with whatever was going on. This was pretty unfortunate and i wouldve had my gun out at the corner.
