My wife and I pulled up on a head-on collision right outside of Blytheville, AR, on I-55 around 3am. We were traveling from Indiana to Texas and switched at Blytheville. I was almost asleep when my wife started freaking out. I woke up to see a fireball up the road from us, about 100 yards or so on the opposite side of the interstate. We pulled over, and I raced to the victims. Their was a man in a Chevy pickup and a woman in a Jeep Cherokee, both fully engulfed in fire. (The woman had drove the wrong way down an exit onto the interstate, and I guess she was racing to get off and correct herself, but met the guy in the truck head on coming off the next ramp.) The woman was motionless and consumed by the fire. The man, however, was still moving slightly, but the flames were licking everything around him. No matter what I tried, I could not get close enough to save him. I hope their family understand. RIP to both.
For goodness sake go help him!

Y'all have been watching way too much TV ... first of all the car looks like it hasn't been burning that long to create enough pressure to blow it up. Second all you have to do is hit the corner of the window and it'll break. Lastly, In this situation you have to stay calm and act quickly, just imagine it's one of YOUR loved ones in there!! I've been on our highways for over 30 years and seen more situations than I can count and I've personally saved a few people from certain death. You either have the hero gene or you don't. I'd want someone to help me and if we all thought like that, the world would be such an amazing place!!
