I always wondered if this is one of the things that led to his death in November of 1963. He stopped the escalation of tensions before they could lead to outright war.

I remember that very well when the Marines were called to the ships docked at Marblehead NC. Kennedy threatened them with an invasion and they starting packing up very quickly. The Russians had tried an invasion previously up in Alaska too by the land bridge which was stopped. This Russian action made everyone check out where the nearest bomb shelters were. During president Eisenhower, the General, is when bomb shelters started being built and we practiced evacuation and safety drills. Kennedy was military too and always was watching over everything while building up the country. He was a great promoter of physical education for children as well as their minds to be good dedicated Americans with equality for all to enjoy. His VP was not as smart, but he did believe in equality for all and got that done!

JFK took control of the Cuban Missile Crisis & shut it down Before it Ever got Started. Our War Ships had Our Nuclear Missiles aimed Right where they needed to be! We Didn’t Start a Fight, but if a Fight is Brought to Us, We Will Finish it!
