As a former nurse, as long as he is coughing, he is not choking. However, I have gotten choked two different times while alone at home. When you can feel the severe burning sensation in your lungs, you are choking to death. I got to the kitchen and both times, leaned over the counter and pushed my stomach against it very hard. On the second try, the object ( piece of hard candy), popped out into the sink! Everyone should know how to perform the Heimlich maneuver. I had enough sense about me, to perform it on myself or I would be dead. God was with me the whole time! β€οΈ

You are taught in CPR class that if they can cough they can breath and if you perform the Heimlich Maneuver it could A) move the object into a worse placeB) severely hurt someone if done with the proper force but done incorrectly.Really funny though...too bad that everyone/thing is "going viral" everytime we turn around.
