Thank God it didn't kill you..Most states hand out Driver's license way too easy to these young teenagers...Most of them have No responsibility at home..And take no responsibility when they're driving..
My son was rear ended too pushed into ongoing traffic…it ruptured his arts and broke his back/neck in 3 places, needless to say I’ll see him when I make it to the other side.
the teenager should be held responsible for the entire thing medical costs cost of a new vehicle everything
all the comments. my son was the passenger in his friend's truck. a jeep t- boned them. it was foggy. The other guy did not have his lights on. he had no insurance, and my sons friend only had state minimum. my insurance, on the other hand, is full coverage. my insurance had to pay for everything. why, you ask? because I had more insurance . my son receives the minimum disability payment, and for 7 years, I have to pay for high-risk insurance now. my son was not driving. oh, the reason my insurance had to pay was because my son is on my insurance.
This is why it's taught when you come to a stop to always check the car coming up behind you. I'm always on a swivel checking my mirrors, speed and in front of me. 360° of awareness isn't that hard.

I was hit by a drunk driver 90 mile an hour impact found my glasses 30 feet behind my car windshield imploded. My roof was stupid. I walked away without a scratch. God was certainly with me.

same thing happened to me. I broke my back, my pelvis was in 6 peices, my leg broken, knee shattered, broke a couple ribs and my collar bone. old man that hit me had $10k personal injury coverage. I left the hospital 3 months later with $640,000 medical bills. stay off the roads in Florida they are only required to carry $10,000 in personal injury insurance and it's a homestead state so you can't even sue them and force them to sell their homes to pay your bills. I'm going to have medical debt for the rest of my life.. I was 32 when the accident happened, an now 39 and haven't even been able to work in 7 years let alone pay down over half a million dollars in hospital bills

parents shouldnt let them leave with their phones or put something on the phone to where they can only be emergency calls only

I’ve been in multiple car accidents where i was hit like that. My back and neck are messed up for life now cause they weren’t paying attention. Had to have back surgery and now on disability. I hate it, i wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
I think if you're under a certain age, you should have a higher amount of bodily injury insurance... at least 25,000 or even 50,000 is better.
Being a personal injury paralegal in texas i am APPALLED that some states insurance liability minimum is ONLY $10,000??? Here its $30,000, which still isnt much for an accident this bad, but at least its something. I am so tired of these reckless drivers getting away with this shit. He should be arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in my opinion. Too many people are not paying attention and they dont even realize that there are real people inside those big metal things we drive because they are too busy looking at something else, rushing, or just being a jack ass. UGHH reckless drivers just piss me the fuck OFF!!
I had some experience and I still recovering from the trauma and I can’t drive by myself all the time I need someone with me in the car because I’m still scared the moment keep repeating all the time
If the kids under 18 he can sue the parents especially if it’s in there name the new driving laws if you’re using a cell phone device under 21 the parents are responsible I had a friend hit in the side of a car at 35 mph at a 4 way hit his head off the window and had to learn to walk talk eat etc again took years still isn’t right because someone wanted to beat the yellow light which was red and a prominent person in the community is who hit him so they said he was going 35 when he got hit but it’s 75 miles an hour gotta be in the backseat or out the back window in all fairness. I hope he’s OK.
At red lights I always pay attention to my rear view mirror, i have had to bolt it a few times to avoid getting rear ended too, once I turned into a Walmart parking lot hauling ass, 2nd time I did an extremely illegal U turn, the dude driving a full size Dodge SUV barreled into an old lady driving an Infinity SUV, the part that was more incredible was seeing the old lady spinning and just keeping her cool, not losing control, that infinity took that T boning 100% times better than an f150.
Girl friend and I were hit head on by drunk driver no insurance no drivers license in this country illegally no job nothing! He did go to jail we had to be extradited from car ! I had emergency back surgery multiple herniated disc my girlfriend now has Parkinson’s from head injury I’m in a wheel chair ! He went to jail and then deported ! He literally walked away from the car but kind people made him sit down and stay put it didn’t matter he had -0- money and no no insurance my father had to go after girlfriend’s car insurance to help pay my medical bills surgery on a striker frame for 2 weeks oh what fun for a 18 year old I lived my life in pain still do results of injury for both of us has been horrific no money compensations made This better it is what it is ! This dude needs to go to jail PEROID I have zero tolerance for drunk or drugged drivers 🤬
I was also in a accident like this my 3 lower lumbars are damaged. A punk kid in Texas doing 75 hit my van from behind while I was with my Ex and 3 kids. After medical bills I got a lousy 18,000 settlement and the kid got all his settlement money. Cause HE sued Dodge cause the air bag didn't go off on the truck he was driving and sued his friend's dad insurance (he was driving his friend's dad's truck). I think he shouldn't of got a dime!! this was back in 2006. My back is still messed up
