The play center should have a door and should not let anyone in or out unless you are the parent. Toddlers do what toddlers do…explore and if they had a door! That guy wouldn’t have been able to pick up the Toddler! Thank God the family got their daughter back!?

So, this happened at the Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax County, Virginia on July 18, 2025. The suspect, 26 year old Andres Carceres Jaldin, shown here attempted to abduct this 3 year old girl, who had wandered away from an indoor play area, where her dad and sibling were. The mother, who was shopping in the store Andres had just walked into, noticed him with her child in hand and rushed to confront him and retrieved her daughter unharmed. Andres fled and police ID him using surveillance footage , and located the stolen vehicle he used, in the parking lot of an Extended Stay motel, in Chantilly. He was arrested upon exiting the motel and charged with abduction of a child and grand theft auto and held without bond. He has a lengthy rap sheet of over 40 prior charges, including numerous violent offenses, causing significant media attention and political controversy as it was revealed that he was a repeat offender and had been released just days before this incident.

He did not look like he was kidnapping that child to me, he was not looking around to see if they were cameras on him which I know he did know there were, because he was in a mall. Who should have been arrested was the parent that had the child and neglected to keep an eye on their child.

I don’t know this sorry at all so I’m it going to speak to that but I am going to make a comment about immigration. Yes, unless you are 100% Native American your ancestors immigrated here. I don’t think anyone cares about legal immigrants, as a matter of fact, I think Americans support LEGAL immigrants - that’s one thing that is great about America - we are so diverse and so great that people want to come here fke whatever reason. The problem is with ILLEGAL immigrants. And in my opinion, anyone living in this county who doesn’t live it whether you’re an illegal immigrant, a legal immigrant, or an American citizen, you need to get out. This county isn’t perfect but it’s still the best county in the world (all around) - sorry if anyone from other countries are reading this. And any criminal, illegal immigration’s or not, should not be on the street.
The suspect is allegedly involved in more criminal cases prior, including stealing a car the same day of the abduction.
I would pick her up too! I'm female and I see another female in the video pass by on her phone and doesn't even slow down! Luckily, this guy stopped! He's not giving child abductor vibes to me. Pick her up and take her to the nearest security officer or information desk to page her parents!!!

Get the facts 7News On Your Side found court records revealing Caceres Jaldin has been involved in more than 30 criminal cases in Fairfax County, including a felony case just a few weeks before the alleged abduction. That case earlier in July is for a felony charge of not stopping at the scene of a car accident causing injury, for which he was released on his own recognizance. This means he did not have to pay the bond if he signed a written promise to appear for his future court appearances. Included in the dozens of criminal cases: assault and battery of a family member and malicious wounding. The court records show Fairfax County Commonwealth's Attorney Steve Descano declined to prosecute Caceres Jaldin for these two cases.
If he took the child to find her mother it is NOT an abduction. i hope you charged the mother with negligence.
One question you can ask yourself is, why is he trying to hide his face when he walks under the camera. i mean he has to leave one eye out to see where he is going but other then that, he's hiding his face.
What i see is someone on his phone who sees a little girl, alone with no shoes on. He picks her up and carries her back into the store, not into a parking lot.

The parents should be charged with neglect!! Looks like an abduction to me…Why pick the little girl up and hold her so close to his body like she’s his child…If he was helping. Stay with her and wait to see if parents return or wave someone for help. English speaking or not. No excuses for this man. Thank God she’s okay.
