My sweetheart husband before he died , had a 🐈⬛ cat he really loved, it would seat on his desk in his study would watch the birds at feeder in the tree in front of his window. Or when he laid down the cat laid on his hip! When he died I got a grey cat to be with inside the cast! He love 💕 the cat
Why not a senior kitty? They need homes too. The family needs to be prepared to help this man w his kitty when his health fails
exactly..kitty will out live grampa..who gets kitty then..what about all the work pets are..and expence....change litterbox..take to vet..I am an animal advocate..hopefully this is all thought out

why do folks think getting the elderly dogs or a cat bc what happens when they pass who the hell ends up taking care of them probably nobody bc they already have a fur baby so either they go to a shelter or get euthanized ?
I'm 75 and have 3 rescue cats. I constantly worry about what will happen to them when I'm gone even though my daughter says she will take them She already has 3 cats. Nobody will take care of them the way I do. Yes, taking care of them, especially the litter boxes can be challenging. Love my babies. They seem to know I'm old and are very patient.

Yes the kitty will more than likely outlive the old man. His family is aware of that plus he will need help to care for it properly even now. They will provide that care. Can you even imagine the joy that kitty will bring into the old man's life?
