Just fyi, you DON'T have to join the HOA. At closing you draw red lines through any verbiage that obligates you to join, pay dues and abide by their rules etc... You initial those changes and instruct your closing attorney to add a statement that you are refusing to join the HOA. There's nothing the HOA can do about it. I've done this 3 times and I've never paid a penny to an HOA. It's also very satisfying because it drives them crazy!!!🤣🤣🤣

I ran a foul of my hoa, found out they were embezzling our fees, told a friend who was with the city attorneys office,who referred to the D.A.s office. president,vice president, treasurer, maintenance foreman all did between 3- to -4 yrs in state prison!!!!!!? turns out it wasn't their first rodeo!!!!!😂 😳😁😰

my neighbor has chickens and roosters and they crow so loud. I don't even think it should be an HOA thing and I hate to be a Karen but it probably violated the city noise ordinance. luckily we don't have an HOA. and I'd rather them keep the 20 they have than have an HOA so I just keep my mouth shut about it. but when I'm trying to go to sleep after getting off 3rd shift it can get pretty annoying.
