It's a weapon that is highly modified for competition. The slide spring has been changed to a lighter one and all the clearances have been increased. Even the ammunition has been hand reloaded to as light as possible to cycle the weapon and remain accurate. It's not suitable anymore for real world or everyday applications. It's been built for speed. Hope this answers the question.
DJ is a straight fucking gangster. Dude was development group.. for 2, it’s called a gravity rack it is hard to do but understanding inertia and physics you can do it… definitely won’t be doing it with a Glock 🤣🤣
Light recoil spring... looks cool... but he also dumped a round out of the gun when he did it. When he had holstered the weapon after the initial round of fire he put a fresh mag in the gun with the slide locked to the rear. When he drew the weapon he released the slide lock which chambered a round from the fresh mag.... he then does his trick and dumps that fresh round and chambers the second round of the new mag. Cute trick... but not at the expense of dumping a good round.
The slide was locked when he holstered, and it jammed when he relaoded and released slide. Watch in slomo and you can see the round get ejected. Still, even with the slide not fully closed the inertia rack is impressive!
Precision machining, accuracy of movement, well oiled...
This can be done on almost any semi automatic handgun. A competent gunsmith can smooth the action and change the guide rod spring to something around the 6lbs mark. Obviously this particular handgun has been modified and the shooter is most likely using hand loaded ammunition. The ammo has just enough powder in the casing to allow the gun to operate as fast as it is. What he is doing here is almost, again I say almost, impossible to do with an unmodified factory firearm using factory ammunition. This guy has definitely spent a lot of time on the range! He’s really good!!👍🏼
Looks cool but apparently the recoil spring is too light to properly chamber a round when he hits the slide release after changing mags. Hence the cowboy trick... and the waste of a good round which hits the floor.
why is he racking the slide , he put a fresh magazine in and released the slide the gun is hot a rounds was chambered already !
his slide must have very low friction slide is obviously very light tension. he can't do it with a stock one
Matter of fact he racked it then proceeded to be cool and air rack it… useless
Light spring. Lots of sanding and oil
My friend from the PD carries a Staccato 2011 and can do it due to the excellent action and balancing with the recoil spring. The gun is also very expensive.
Do a YouTube search of Staccato air rack. What ever gun he is air racking is a high quality handgun.
CLP and practice. Not all guns can do this. The weight from the slide and optic help.
it's a competition gun. light spring allows for the air-rack. you're welcome
To do this it takes more than skill you need the right type of pistol
Don’t believe you can do this with an unmodified pistol.
its a competition firearm. loose guide rod assembly.
That’s gotta be magic! Yup it definitely is
a flared mag well makes anyone look like a pro
Inertia
Snagged the RMR
You can do it with a Staccato right out of the box. It’s a pretty darn light recoil spring.
Race gun, not stock springs or rounds.
I was taught to rack the slide on a 1911 at 12 years old by a ex special forces veteran.
To shoot with a low power recoil spring can be punishing with full power P ammo...
I can do that with my s&w. not hard, just need to know your firearm and practice.
It your fireman is very high end, the slide moves like it’s on ball bearing.
You get what you pay for.
Air racking. Possibly a Staccato and it has had a lot of rounds through it!
Staccato will do it
Training.
Nice...
Oil
he used two hands, not one.
This guy is a bad ass!!
Cool 😎 Smoke’n!!
14k custom 2011
it's air racking I can do them on mine it's not hard it doesn't need to be modified it works on the principle of force
I mean, I am sure it's a customized slide, not to mention he's training this hard for what these days. Tik tok
He had already cocked the slide first. You can see him do it in the video. It’s much easier to rack the slide while it’s already cocked. A real man can rack it with one hand while not cocked in advance.
He's a former Navy SEAL💪. Why should you expect less🤔?
Rapidity of movement, quickly changing the direction of momentum. Pull firearm straight back quickly. Rapidly change the direction straight forward, and the slide continues backward, racking the firearm. TLDR; “Physics.”
