I think those are small pome trees like Apple or peach or cherry or could be apricot. but likely a tree not a vine.

They are not grapevine’s. Some kind of fruit trees. That’s a great idea!

Of course it there are grape vines I don’t know if they wait a few seasons but they sure do that and thrive afterwards

those stumps will grow sprouts next spring that will flower and become fruit eventually. The trimming helps control disease and insect eggs etc. It also keeps the plants at a predictable height for spraying and eventually harvesting.They could I suppose graft portions of other trees on them but it doesn't seem likely.

gee that would really come in handy for me. I have weeds that. come higher than top of garage door.my fence line you are unable to see your neighbor not even to wish them aa good day..it storms one day then temperature in 80 the mext.for 2 weeks straight..grass cannot be cut which emotions are really taking a tole.gosh I sure would like to purchase one. Great invention 🙏👍🤔
