We do this on the Arkansas River in Tulsa, too. People "buy" a duck. Each duch has a number on the bottom of it. If your duck is the first to cross the finish line, you win! It's like a fun raffle and a great way to raise money. It's hilarious to watch people cheering their duck on when nobody really knows which duck is theirs until the end!
