I had a possum in my house one night, I closed my patio door, without knowing that a possum had gotten in. during the night I heard a big commotion in the living room. too afraid to get up to investigate, I only realized that it was in my house because of the claw marks shown on a large cardboard box. I think that my cat was fighting with it. so, I opened the patio door, used a spray bottle of water to chase it out. no big deal

That badger is scared of something outside - which is extremely unusual. Wish I knew more details about this situation. The badger isnt acting aggressive towards the human or shovel AND acting scared of the outdoors. Strange. Was it hand raised? Even then its weird behavior.

People, you need to know if you come across a Badger. Take your ass the other way fast. They are the toughest pound for pound animal under 25 pounds. They're not afraid of anything bears, mountain lion's, cougars, and people. They will attack you and tear you ass up. They live in holes they dig something like 5 to 10 feet a minute. The claws are roughly 6 to 10 inches long, and they have a bite fore of 1200 pounds per sq inchThe Badger breaks bones when biting down.The person in the video is a lucky, lucky man. They travel around 20 to 25 miles a hr. They will be on you before you can s say Shit there is a Badger on me OUCH.
I grew up in the country country and that person is one lucky person, that badger if it wanted to , could have torn that shovel to pieces and then attacked the person

I read a story about a mountain man who heard a grizzly bear bawling and discovered it with a badger attached to it's nose. Apparently was going to make it a snack and the badger fought back. Bear was in intense pain and was bleeding profusely and trying to get it off but badger wasn't letting go.
Poor little badger We had one in Switzerland. During winter, it got between the wall & our brand new pool liner in the community swimming pool. We had to get the badger out to ready the pool for summer opening. We got a piece of rope, dropped it over the badger's head like a leash. My husband just walked it, like a dog, down the road to the other side of the creek. The pictures are hilarious. The two of them walking together, the badger looking up at my husband & walking so nicely on the leash, like a well-trained dog. He let my husband reach down & unleash him, no problem. Then he waddled off into the brush. (the badger, not my husband😁) I have held a fondness for badgers ever since then. 🦡

This video reminds me of 2 episodes from the TV show, Martin. The episodes when Martin and Pam were fighting that badger when they went on that cheap vacation. The other episode, Pam hurt her ankle; she and Martin got lost in the woods. They teamed up to fight the badger in both episodes. " That ain't no d@m pup....py!" 😂
Reminds me of a woman I know who was having a hard time getting her 55 year old daughter out of her house. I never thought about using a snow shovel but I'll recommend that to her the next time her daughter tries to move in again on her.

badgers are notoriously unafraid of, just everything... I've seen them take on brown bear up close to the Canadian wilderness and that bear couldn't disengage fast enough... I wish there had been I ternet and cell phone e recording ability when I was younger. lol man the videos I would have had lol

Badger was acting weird like it was somewhat domesticated. This guy was probably feeding it/taking care of it for a while. It seemed confused more than afraid.
I grew up a city boy. When I was 19, I moved to the country and got a security job at a coal mine. It was way up in the mountains and teeming with wildlife. One day, I was sitting in my vehicle and I saw this animal cross the road from a distance. I had no idea what it was, so I grabbed my camera and ran after it to get a look. It was a badger, and that thing did not run from me. As soon as I came up on it, it turned on me and took the offensive. Those things are tough and fearless. I did manage to get a great picture of it, though.

You do NOT want to mess with a badger! They are small, but FIERCE little animals that can do a lot of damage in a big hurry. They are usually nocturnal which is why it does not want to go back outside.
