I'm not an expert, but it seems like It's easy to remove the Barnacle parking device . It works with large suction cups and a small suction pump. Every car has a lug wrench to change your tires so you already have the tool you need. Just slide the flat side of your lug wrench up to the suction cup, push in and twist it slowly. It will break the seal on a small spot of the suction cup. Once the seal is broken twist the flat side vertical and the cup will pop off. do the same thing to the other one and remove it. Do it slowly to keep from damaging your windsheild.... But I'm not responsible for any damages if you try any of that 🤷🏾♂️

I didn’t know this existed and had to look it up. Wow! It’s being used by the NYPD. The “BARNACLE BOOT” adds 1,000lbs. of pressure with the suction cups and it’s much safer for the officers to use and yakes :30 seconds. It sounds an alarm if you try to remove it.
It’s called “The Barnacle” and it’s a complete sham. Had one out on my vehicle, and to get a code to remove it you have to pay all outstanding parking tickets, plus 30% up charge, plus a $150 deposit for the device. And once removed you then have to take the device back to the parking division office that put it on your vehicle. When I did and asked who was refunding my deposit and when it would be refunded, they cowardly said they didn’t know because they don’t actually own the equipment or issue it, a 3rd party does. So I kept the damn thing for 3 weeks and after calling the actual manufacturer from their website I finally got my deposit refunded. It’s like getting arrested and once released having to go the station to return the handcuffs. But you should google search barnacle because I saw a video where a college student removed one off of his car, took the battery out to stop the alarm, pulled the SIM card that connected it to the satellite, and got free WiFi for over a year.
