There's been F16 doing practice 3x a week over monon.. it use to be only once a week with A10s

We saw them too from Monticello. They were in the east. Not sky lanterns, not starlink. They were bigger and brighter & more redish orange. then 2-3 minutes later we saw them again off and on for about a half hour. There were about 2 - 4 total off/on each occurrence.

These are most likely from an A-10 from Grissom, popping flares. look it up on youtube. These guys fly peactice missons all the time. The aircraft shoots off a few flares when an enemy plane locks onto them. the missiles are heat seeking, so the flares are released to fool the heat seeking missile into following them instead of the targeted aircraft. hope this helps.
